US ship arrives to Sri Lanka

US Naval Ship Lewis and Clark arrived to Trincomalee to attend the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Exercise - 2017, on Monday (02nd October), states Navy media.

The 210m long ship is 32 m wide and has landing facility for two helicopters. Upon completion of the Exercise, Lewis and Clark is scheduled to leave on Friday (06 October).

The 23rd CARAT -2017 training exercise, conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy and the US Pacific Fleet began in Trincomalee yesterday.
