Russian ship arrives on goodwill visit

Making a two-day goodwill visit the Russian naval ship, Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov arrived to the island on Wednesday (03rd April).

According to Navy media, the visiting Russian ship accorded a traditional welcome upon it arrival at the Colombo harbour by the Sri Lanka Navy.

The 136m long ship carried a crew of 28 officers and 208 sailors. The crew is scheduled to take part in several programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy, during its stay in the island.

The ship will leave the island on Saturday (06th April).
